When I started Plasticourt, it wasn’t just about building courts — it was about solving a problem I saw repeatedly.
Surfaces were cracked, unsafe, and poorly maintained. Players were frustrated, coaches were limited, and schools
or clubs were burdened with costly repairs.

South Africa deserves better. Athletes — from learners to professionals — should be able to compete on surfaces
that reflect their passion and commitment. That’s why we developed our 12-layer CourtGuard Resurfacing System
and built a team that refuses to cut corners.

At the helm is CEO / Owner Mark Hibberd who boasts around 20 years’ experience in the resurfacing industry. He has handpicked and guided a team of surface specialists and technicians that deliver industry leading courts in the local market.

PLASTICOURT specializes in the resurfacing of tennis, netball and basketball courts but also provides services such as earthworks, fencing and building of courts. We also manufacture posts and related hardware for these sports inhouse which allows us to offer realistic cost reductions to our clients as well as certain bespoke offerings.

The surfacing formulations used by PLASTICOURT were formulated more than 55 years ago and with the product being tested and improved over the years, Plasticourt confidently offers a class leading solution.

Under the guidance and scrutiny of our certified Occupational Health and Safety Officer, Paula Hibberd, all Staff are continuously trained and certified their field of operations (Health and Safety act of 1993). We pride ourselves on our focus on the safety of staff, pupils, clients and the public, and strive to constantly remain in touch with the current requirements as set out by both government and our clients. With this focus, all projects are furnished with a site-specific Health and Safety file for all project records.

Our surfaces and associated products have a proven track record in ensuring that your playing experience is enhanced. When playing on our surfaces you will experience enhanced grip and texture that will ensure you are able to take full advantage of your skills whether in Netball, Tennis or Basketball.

• No Bitumen – Bitumen cannot bond to acrylic polymers; which is one of the reasons why we don’t use it.
