This scope defines the works included per court, the standards applied, and the responsibilities required to ensure performance, durability, and long-term value.
1. Line Markings & Court Layout
- One full set of line markings painted per court in accordance with the designated sport code.
- Line placement, colour contrast, and finish executed to ensure clarity, compliance, and clean court definition.
Multi-sport layouts or additional line sets are excluded unless expressly specified.
2. Steel Sports Equipment Treatment
- All existing steel sports posts associated with the court (tennis, netball, basketball) will be:
- treated for rust where present, and
- repainted using either green or white enamel.
Structural integrity of posts is assumed unless visible failure is identified during preparation.
3. Kerb / Curb Correction & Court Framing
- Where feasible, existing kerbs or perimeter edges are corrected and locally repaired to:
- restore clean, straight visual lines,
- improve edge definition, and
- visually frame the court for optimal aesthetic impact and asset presentation.
This work is limited to minor
corrective and visual improvements. Major concrete reconstruction, structural kerb failure, or drainage reconfiguration is excluded unless separately approved.
4. CourtGuard® All-Weather Resurfacing System
- Resurfacing of the court using the CourtGuard® All-Weather Hard Surface System, applied in accordance with approved procedures and suitable environmental conditions.
- Works include:
- thorough surface preparation and cleaning,
- treatment and preparation of existing cracks and surface defects appropriate to their condition,
- application of the specified CourtGuard® layer build-up to restore playability, consistency, grip, and weather resistance.
The resurfacing system is intended to extend surface life and restore performance. It does not correct structural base failure, ongoing ground movement, or external drainage defects unless such remedial works are expressly approved.
5. Practice Wall Surfacing (Where Applicable)
- One standard-size practice wall per court will be:
- surfaced with the CourtGuard® all-weather surface system,
- repainted for visual consistency, and
- waterproofed where required.
Practice walls previously coated with oil-based paint systems are excluded unless approved remediation is authorized.
6. Site Supervision & Quality Oversight
- All works are supervised and reviewed daily by a Project Manager and/or Director to ensure:
- correct sequencing,
- workmanship consistency, and
- adherence to the agreed scope and standards.
7. Communication & Progress Reporting
- Daily WhatsApp updates providing progress status and site observations.
- Weekly consolidated progress report issued via email to all stakeholders.
8. Annual Court Inspection (3-Year Period)
- One formal annual court inspection per court for three (3) years following completion.
- Each inspection includes:
- assessment of surface condition, wear patterns, and drainage performance,
- identification of early warning indicators such as cracking, depressions, or edge deterioration.
A brief written condition report is issued after each inspection. Remedial works are excluded unless separately approved.
9. Client Handover & Maintenance Instruction
- Ground staff and/or nominated client representatives are instructed on:
- routine court care,
- correct cleaning methods,
- early indicators of surface or base issues, and
- actions that accelerate wear or may void warranties.
Optional Services (Strongly Recommended)
Ongoing Maintenance Plan
(Weekly,
Monthly, Quarterly, Bi-Annual, or Annual)
The maintenance plan is designed to preserve surface performance, manage risk, and extend service life. Services may include:
- Weed control to prevent edge and joint intrusion.
- Ant treatment to mitigate sub-surface disturbance.
- Safe dilution and treatment of bird droppings (uric acid) to prevent chemical surface damage.
- Localized touch-ups to surface areas affected by organic or environmental exposure.
- Clearing of surface channels to maintain effective water runoff.
- Treatment of damp-prone areas using approved mold and algae control agents.
- Submission of a condition report identifying developing risks such as tree root intrusion, surface depressions, or drainage-related concerns.
- Court cleaning, carried out only on courts resurfaced by us and only after a minimum curing period of six (6) months, using:
- water rollers,
- soft brooms, and
- a medium-pressure hose.
High-pressure washing is expressly excluded. Court cleaning must be performed by trained professionals only.
